When Arthur Hatton returned from his mission he found there wasn’t much of a community for LDS musicians—or at least not for his kind of musician. Arthur, like many LDS artists makes music outside of the LDS genre.
Optimistic that he would find other likeminded Mormon musicians, he started a website called Linescratchers to promote and encourage a sense of community among LDS performers.
Three and half years later his hypothesis has proven to be correct: there is a vibrant and diverse community of LDS artists making high quality music — proof of which can be found at Linescratchers.com.
If you visit Linescratchers you’ll find a mix of interviews, news, reviews, and articles about life as an LDS musician. And if you’re dying to know, you’ll also learn what a “Linescratcher” is.
