Avoiding the Vultures

You’re vulnerable and people know it. They’ve seen you looking over your shoulder for your comp. It’s just a matter of time before they try to take advantage of you—the poor innocent returned missionary.

Who would do such a thing? Right now someone close to you, a sibling, a friend, or even a parent is hovering over you in your weakened state. More to the point, it will be the first person who offers to take you shopping for new clothes.

Why? You see, sis, or whoever it is, has a shopping addiction and to them you’re nothing but fresh meat. A big dope with a wad of cash and an entire wardrobe to revive.

Four hours into the shopping trip your “friend’s” shopping appetite will be satisfied and your wallet will be empty.

So keep a wary eye out for predators and shop slowly. Like your daddy used to say, “don’t spend it all in one place kid.”
